We use Apache 1.3.26 for HTTP service and all SMTP servers are separated from the web servers.
Shared Windows Hosting

We only use Compaq Proliant 1850R servers running Windows 2000 server which combined, equals a robust hardware platform with a reliable Windows operating system. Furthermore, we do not cram 1,000s of clients onto each server. All of our Windows servers run between 25 to 250 websites per server. Our iMail, SQL, and WebTrends servers are separated from the web servers, thus taking the load of POP3, SMTP, SQL, and Statistics service off the same server used for HTTP.
